Long ago, when I birthed my first child, I lacked so much birth wisdom. I was panicking and fighting my own body during that birth and it meant that birth felt torturous and scary. It also meant I had no knowledge or control over my body, my choices or my baby and I even experienced - a very unnecessary - Mother-Baby, Separation Trauma.
The Birth Course I attended (government medical hospital course) gave me nothing to ground me and nothing to have faith in.
A year after my birth, I was awakened to the world of excellent and amazing birth education, such an Hypnobirthing (and similar styles, the KEY is to do a PRIVATE course, they are ALL GOOD!)
I became a passionate educator and learnt so much from every single human I worked with and every single birth. I did many deep dives into birth topics, research evidence, midwife papers/articles and wise birth experts' teachings. I was especially blessed to spend many years mentoring under some of the greatest midwives of the world.
Fast forward 15 years, I’ve educated over 1,000 families as a Hypnobirthing Educator, and have guided and emotionally supported, another 2,000 families - as a Doula, Counsellor and Birth-Community-Project Coordinator.
And finally, one of my biggest breakthroughs and entries into the world of birth wisdom, I have also birthed my final baby, in an amazing healing birth experience that truly taught me the full, full, spectrum of how birth and parenting can be.
